XLN support has always been very responsive, in my experience. I doubt that they would want a bunch of second hand licenses flooding the market, but they appear to be a fair and equitable company. I don't think there are any transfer fees to sell your retail version though, so you probably could sell that one off and load the SONAR license to eliminate the duplication. Personally, I owned and sold AD before and then regretted it...so I was very happy to get it again bundled with Producer. I have SSD4 Platinum and EZD with some EZX packs, and AD is a perfect compliment, in my opinion.

I'm only a little annoyed, kinda wanted to reply " No. YOU contact the support whatever and get a straight answer to a simple question that many people who paid you for your product must be asking." Man, that would have been sweet. I would have really told him off. I guess I could go back there and post that, but it is sooooo faaaaarrrrrr.

This just in from XLN Audio. You should hold on to the Addictive Drums product key that came with your copy SONAR X3 Producer, even if you already own a registered copy.

Contact support@xlnaudio.com and let them know that you already have Addictive Drums.  XLN Audio is happy to hook you up with other instruments (including Addictive Keys) or a pair of ADPaks.

Yeah, I got bored and jumped throught the the support hoop, and they got back to tell me about that.
I guess I will trade it in, but it might have been fun to give it away on this or some other forum, rock radio style " the first poster in who can answer the following question wins this great drum plug-in".

When they got back to me, they were very thorough and attentive, even responded to my anti-online-only-distibrution-scheme rant like it was actually read. To show my appreiciation, I bought a few of what they call MIDIpaks, and to my absolute delight, they accept "vanilla" mastercards as payment. I personally would buy ALOT more little toys from Cakewalk's website if this were possible.

What's a "vanilla" mastercard? I have a credit card from my bank in The Netherlands that says "mastercard" and it has always worked fine anywhere they said I could use Mastercard, including Cakewalk?

It's like a prepaid anonamys mickey mouse mastercard. I love to use them online but lots of sites don't want to take them for some reason. Some do, some dont. You can buy them at the corner gas station 24/7.

Ah thanks for clearing that up. I like to think my English is pretty good but cultural nuances like those trip me up :)
