Well after hearing the Addictive Drums in X3 and visiting their website, I checked into the Addictive Keys program as well. Somebody here mentioned that Musician's Friend has a sale going on for the Addictive keys for $29 so I bought it. They sent me a dvd with the downloading instructions and product key. So I downloaded the program (about 3 hours ) and it loaded right up into X3b with no problem whatsoever. I was up and running in a few seconds. The piano's all sound great. The Steinway is very comparable to the one I have in Ivory II. I wanted an upright piano sample collection and I am very pleased with it's sound !!! The electric piano, meh, it's okay if that's what you want, but I wanted the Steinway and an upright. For $29 bucks you can't beat it, and yes the sale is still going on....

Absolutely can't beat the $29 sales price.  Don't be put off by the "promo pack" name... This is the same "Studio Collection" that sells for $179.95 at the manufacturer's site.

Also, another important FYI:  If you don't want to install the 4+ GB of data onto your C: drive (which it does by default), launch the XLN Installer, and click the Advanced button near the top of the main window.  You will then be allowed to choose an alternate path for your sound data.  "Apply" the setting, then install as normal.  This also applies to Addictive Drums, as it uses the same installer.

No it's not a promo pack, it's three full piano sample sets with stand alone player, effects control page with lots of mic and mic position options available, and a whole lot of piano sounds from which to chose from. It's definitely a full blown piano sample program and well worth it, if you're into midi piano. The upright sounds great and the sustain is very realistic. I grew up with an upright and I know how they sound...this program nails it !!

I purchased AK few weeks ago and was very happy with the sounds and
results of the arrangements..  Was a "Stupid Deal of the Day" then, but $29.
My signature has some of the results.

At MF: $29.00  It says Promo Pak and you get a grand and an upright-period. Am I missing it somehow?
Thanks

Not sure what you're looking at.   I bought the "promo pack" from MF.  It came with 3 pianos: the Grand, Upright, and Rhodes MkI.

djwayne,

I do play, but not with that talent and piano quality....  Most of these creations are arrangements based very old progressions sets.   Using 12-8 "Super Midi" blues style.
Including the "Realdrums" both are part of PG Music products.

The AK upright piano settings are "Front Stereo".
AK is an amazing piece of software, for even tho midi driven some amount of their
software does add some nice touches.

I did purchase the X3a upgrade then the b update.  All of my current plans now
center around learning a lot more about x3 64bit so my VSTi use can be expanded.
Also purchased more mem, so have 16 gig.
Some VSTi's are resource hog's.

It sounded great...I listened to about an hour's worth of your blues tracks....then SNL came on and I got distracted.... lot's of great articulations there.....very pleasant to listen to.

It was interesting to listen to the Addictive Key's upright piano and drums in actual use....

I first heard about addictive keys piano on this forum ,and I love it. I paid $49 for  the studio grand and I use it for my main piano every day.
