The dynamics are way off as the full accompaniment starts your vocal level just gets cut significantly.

-change the toms and less of them
-Bit more spanish percussion involved
-new spanish pronounciation
-db or two more of master on board

I can certainly hear the extra touch of dB there... I'm listening to both to remind me of the original. Is the latest one better? Hard to say... I still like the original, because I thought that was well done anyway, but yeah, the extra bit of loudness does help, in my opinion... And it's not squashed to death, which is good.
 
So, I'd go live with the latest one, no problem

I'm happy with the direction of this but I need help on why the dynamics fall short on part at 1:48, it should go up a level here as opposed to staying the same as the part before, what needs to be removed/boosted etc to make that impact. My ears are fried!

Like you say, at 1:48 ish, there is no change in dynamic at all, although this still sounds fine to me. But at 2:10, the song goes through a quiet spell, and down again at 2:30 until 2:50, where it all picks up again, and then even more at around 3:10. So I wouldn't be too concerned about needing a change in dynamic at 1:48 because there is plenty of it throughout the song... In my opinion of course

Thanks for taking the time out for another listen and indepth analysis.
 
Overall, sure the song has dynamics. Just that section...its more of a mix/production issue where one of the instruments is causing that part not to step up in intensity and power compared to the previous. Its minor, but bothers me!
