  • X2a Resizing Tracks In Track View???

I'm loosing my mind, folks!

I grab a track with the mouse to widen it and they all widen.
If I shrink them all and click on one it widens out. Then when I click on another one it widens and the 1st one shrinks back.
This is completely ridiculous behavior.

The more I use it - the more tracks I add - the more editing I do - the more ridiculously unstable and quirky it becomes.

Seriously, how can you use it?!

You are adjusting the tracks with track auto zoom switched on.

Turn it on or off with Shift + Z or from the TV--->View menu.

As you've discovered track auto zoom will automatically enlarge the in focus track to your chosen height while minimizing all others to your chosen height, which is what you are adjusting at the moment, hence the (expected) behaviour.

Turn it off and you have completely independent heights for all tracks. Quick tip btw is to select multiple tracks and hold shift while adjusting one, that'll adjust all those selected tracks to the chosen height.

Auto Zoom = one of my favorite features.   But it's not something I have turned on all the time.

Thanks guys. I figured it may be a setting somewhere but didn't know what or where to look. It must be ON by default then. Would be nice to have a button for it.

Now all I have to do is figure out why audio clip editing is so odd. Another setting? But where and what? I've tried all the Help files but again don't know where to look really.

1. Any time I overlap 2 clips it creates a split clip of the overlapped area. Sometimes it's hard to get it lose from the parent clip. It also changes
when it is moved.

2. Auto Crossfade is ON even when it's OFF which is very frustrating.
