There were two problems:
1) The VST Scan was crashing when it got to the Oberheim SEM V. I believe the fix was updating the SEM V to the latest version. The updates are free. The .dll files were in the vst folder in the cakewalk directory and that is what it was scanning.
2) The second problem had to do with the Arturia Modules not showing up in my plug in manager. This was fixed by adding the "C:\programfiles (x86)\arturia." to the vst folder scan.
As far as how good are the Arturia plug ins. I haven't used all of them. In fact I have only used 3 or 4 modules. I used to own a Prophet5 Rev2, Oberheim Xpander, and a Memorymoog back in the 80's and sold them in the early 90's. They sound very close to the original. If you want that analog sound and you are not getting it from you digital software like Massive, Z3ta, etc., Arturia will give you that sound you need. I also have the Sonicprojects OP-X Pro-II (Oberheim OBX clone) software and the Memorymoon ME (Yamaha CS80 clone) and both of them work very well also and are great sounding. A lot has to do with how well you can program an analog subtractive synth. Most presets are a good starting point and will sound better once you teak the sounds and add effects.
