Doing a download. What type of 64 bit vst file do I want? Vst 2. Or Vst 3 or ReWire. I'm confused.....

You want VST 2. X2 doesn't support VST 3.

I've hit a brick wall........I reinstalled a clean version of my Melodyne Essentials. Chose the Vst2 64bit version and did the download. Moved the file to my Cakewalk Vst file and ran the plug in manager....nothing. Then I reinstalled Melodyne and chose the Vst2 64 bit and the ReWire 64 bit downloads then moved it to my Cakewalk Vst folder and rescanned......nothing. Why won't the plug in manager recognize this? Before I upgraded to the latest version I had no problems with inserting Melodyne into a project. What am I missing?

Tried it again....this time I only downloaded the Vst2 64 bit file. Set the install path to Programs/cakewalk/vst
Ran the plugin manager and seen the Melodyne.dll file in the scan. It still is not listed under Vstplugins. The license is also activated. Any ideas?

Did you verify that you installed Melodyne to one of the folders you are scanning?

Yes, I saw the Melodyne file pop up in the scan but for some reason its just not registering. Could it be one of those run as administrator things?

So it is in the Plugin Manager dialog?   If so, that means it was scanned and should be available - assuming it's not in the Excluded list and that your layout includes it.

No, it's not listed as an available plug in in the managers list.

I checked the excluded plug in list. It was there. I've wasted a lot of time on this. Something so stupid. I love this stuff........on to the next problem soon, I'm sure :). Thanks for helping!
