Last night I received and installed XLN's Addictive Keys. There's another thread about that. The piano is great and has plenty of settings I have yet to learn about. But just playing the straight keys and adding Breverb (the full version) it was really nice to go through different piano reverb presets Breverb has. The two packages together just at their basic settings sound super nice.

Cool, I'll have to try that.   I just completed the AK download last night as well and went through the included pianos - they sound great and there's also a nice variety of affected presets (unexpected).

Been a convolution fan since the old Sonic Foundry Acoustic Mirror days. But I find that I'm liking the TSAR-1R and the Breverb a lot, and they don't hog the resources like the convos.

Funny thing ... today I set up an FX Chain preset for the Vintage Reverb in GR5 ... turns out that those are spring and plate impulses.

I did a side by side comparison with the TSAR-1R vrs the BREVERB 2 and with my ears the BREVERB 2 sounded better on identical piano tracks and pretty close hall settings. I don't know how to describe it, it was just a nicer sound.

I wouldn't doubt you're right. I haven't played with Breverb a whole lot yet. I've only had it for as long as I've had X3. I upgraded from X1e. Haven't done a side by side. Do you find that it's your main verb now?

Ya I'll be going to BREVERB 2 a lot now. After I heard it on the Addictive Drums Start Up Demo, I was sold on it.

Cool. I'll have to spend more time with it. Been using TSAR-1R on the drum bus for some room ambience. I'll have to sub the Breverb 2 in there and give it a go.

Woah  wait a minute.... I just went back and listened to the Addictive Drums demo with and with out BREVERB 2 and there was no difference, the reverb I was hearing is built into the Addictive Drums program...NOT BREVERB 2 !!! My mistake !! Even still though, th BREVERB 2 sounds great on my piano sounds !!
LOL...They must have used Beverb 2 when they processed the samples!
