+1 to Noel

You can "force" Windows to "re-assess itself" by simply unplugging the USB and plugging it back in. It seems Windows may have taken them for itself.

I (admittedly) do something I should not... in that I run both the onboard audio and Ozone at the same time regularly... in order to not give Windows a seizure, I went to "Change Sound Card Settings" and assigned "default" to the onboard audio... then when the Ozone is turned on, Windows leaves it be, and SONAR gets full access to the ASIO on it without issues.

This interface is a MOTU 896mk3. It's FIREWIRE!

OK, I've checked several stand alone synths, ie FM8, Rapture, and all of them have ASIO drivers enabled and functioning.
I then opened an instance of Sonar X2. Then it told me that I have ASIO drivers to replace others and it worked. All ASIO drivers appeared in the list and it functioned properly.
When I load an instance of X3...No ASIO drivers!
i could try a repair. Not sure if that's going to do anything. Seems to me like there is an issue with X3 not seeing the drivers but I don't know. I'm going to do it anyway as it's really the only thing I can try.

So, how is it that X2 sees the drivers without issue but X3 doesn't? I can do a bunch of uninstalls and the such. But, again. I've run everything as administrator on the new install, rebooted it and whatever else I can think of to do. I'm just puzzled that mine doesn't work but everyone elses does. What system requirements would I possibly be missing on this system that would prohibit me from using my interface? Hmm, very puzzled.

Just did a driver repair through the control panel. I've uninstalled this driver once before and installed it, repaired it whatever...a few times now. Same results...X2 works fine....X3 doesn't see ASIO drivers at all... :( sniff sniff.

Very weird indeed. Can you post a screen shot of your x2 and x3 asio device configuration screens so I can see the device names?
Anyone else here running an 896?

I tried to ad links to 2 images but it didn't work. I'll see if I can upload the images.
But really, the images are just going to show X3 with motu audio wave drivers and the other...X2 with all asio drivers. Not sure how to upload an image. Not that I don't know how but I'm not seeing where to.

Use an external service like photobucket to host your pictures (by uploading them), then paste that link into the text box here on the forum

Did you select ASIO driver mode under Preferences/Audio/Playback and Recording?
