I just updated to Windows 10 and I am only seeing CCC in programs and features through the control panel where you add/remove programs. Nearly all the programs are not listed except for a couple like Rapture and Dim Pro. Is this normal? I have searched for several hours and I can't find a definitive answer. Coming from Win 7, all of them were listed and I was using CCC. Can someone provide some insight please.

1.  You don't see them or a Cakewalk folder when you press "Start"?

2.  Have you looked for them with Cortana or search?

3.  Go to C:\Program Files\Cakewalk and/or C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk and look for the *.exe files in there and then right click those and "send" to desktop to create some shortcuts.

4.  As a last resort you can re-download/install CCC and start from there.  It will find them and update them as needed I imagine.

They show up in the all apps start menu and the programs are in the directories. They just don't show up in the add/remove programs section of the control panel. Is that normal with windows 10?

Another thing a little off topic is that the all apps start menu is horrible and it arranges them alphabetically and I can't get them into folders to organize them even when going to their root location in the start menu folder. I may install a windows 7 style start menu.

If you have windows 10 and use CCC to install Sonar, could you look and tell me if they show up in the programs and features section or apps and features section in the control panel?

It is expected when using the Command Center. All the installers run from the Command Center are managed in the Command Center not the Windows Control Panel.

My experience is a little different than what scook says.  I've got many of the SPLAT plug-ins, suites and collections showing up in add/remove, as well as all my SONAR installations (8.5, X1, X3 and SPLAT).  Everything except X3 has been installed with CCC.

Only SONAR Home Studio/Artist/Professional/Platinum and Music Creator 7 are available in the Command Center. There is no way to install SONAR 8.5 or the X series with the Command Center.

I suspect there is a problem with the registry. I had to do a restore point and rolled back to before they were installed. I think some how it messed up how windows reads the programs. I even did a clean install of SPLAT. I really don't want to do a fresh install. It took nearly a week to get this PC ready. I can't think of anything else to do except uninstall and delete everything cakewalk in the registry and try again.

I'm not sure I understand why you need to bother to reinstall everything just because they aren't showing up in add/remove programs. Are the cakewalk programs not working? I thought it was just that you don't see them there.

I'm installing all the software for when the hardware is ready and the guy wants to know why he can't just look through the add/remove programs to see what is installed. Coming from Windows 7 he is worried something's wrong and when the hardware gets in he doesn't want to make it difficult to tell if it's the software or hardware if there are problems. He just wants a definitive answer as to if the programs show up or not. If I can prove that it is normal then I'm done. If it is normal for them to show up then I have to make them show up. That's just how it is. It has to be right no matter what.

I looked in "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall" and the programs that are missing from add/remove programs are not there. This is not how I want to spend my time.

Maybe it is normal. I sure hope it is. So far I've heard conflicting accounts. I have Win 10 64 and this is the exe's location:
"C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR Platinum"
It seems that BRainbow has verified that they show up. Do you have win 10 64?

I have win 10 64 latest update and Splat does show up in The control panel/programs list.
