Just uninstalled X2 : lost then My VS 700 dll !!! (warning message told me that before X1 starts) and no more VS 700 option on my control surface : THIS for those that still don't understand why i keep asking Cake to give us a CLEAR and EASY Unistall procedure , should be stiky in up on the Forum page ...also now all my cake project files don't have a X1 icons on ...lol ok ...
 
So the plan for me is : 
X3 /32 bits  with 32 bits plugins , VST 2 (maybe VST 3 )
Waves Mercury , softube , Steven slate  heavy user here

also Addictive drums install : can i install it on 2 comp ? one offline ?

Is there a reason that you uninstalled Sonar X2?
 
Just curious. I have Sonar 8.5.3, X1, X2 and now X3 all installed. Personalized setting are all imported to the newest install.

While waiting for the download take a look at the X3 knowledge base articles. Plan on preforming a VST reset and rescan. Pay attention to the special info on Waves VST2/VST3 use.
 
Current version of AD is online install only.

X2 out cause i'm on SSD 120gb for now (i tend to take ultra fast intel but low GB ;)) need some room , PT 11 coming also soon just to master it ...not really use it ....don't want to depend on people when i go in studios ...

John ....how do you find X3 versus X1 (witch is solid as a rock in my set up) ?

EDIT : by the way Part 3 and 4 dowlaoed but unable tp be confirmed on HDD ...need to re downlaod ....damm!

I like it a lot. It is very stable and much more then X1 expanded d. That was very solid for me. 
 
It does a better job of using the cores too. I was thinking I would have to change the setup to run the X3 demo project if run on X1 or X2. Not so with X3. I think you are going to like it as much as the rest of us.

If you had issues downloading files, it may help a lot to get a download manager (there are a few posts on this), as well as checking the downloaded files (MD5 hashes) are correct prior to installing. Only other helpful point is to right click and run the installation "As Administrator."
 
Definitely research waves. I do not have it myself, but there has been a lot of talk about this with X3b.
