I'm seeing a lot more crashes 12 (in 5 days) but X3 recovers better.

Waves or UAD?   Just curious as I haven't any crashes yet.

Is it able to recover from the crash by stopping the failed code or process instead of simply giving up? That would be awesome if X3 were able to isolate or quarantine a process or routine that crashes. Or if X3 could offer a project Save before exiting.

There are definitely some issues with Waves but I think it's mostly to do with using a mixture of VST2 and VST3 Waves plugins in the same project. If that's the case, stick to one or the other and you should be fine.

They have all gone in with the problem reporter.

There have been other that the problem reporter could not handle.
My point was that when X3 crashes and recovers it does so better than X2

I am happy with the upgrade and I have confidence that you guys will make it even better!  Thanks for trollin the forum.

If it's helpful, I can't help but notice that all of these fault reports are referencing X3a and not X3b. Did you get the update installed yet?

Also, most of those crashes are actually referencing AmpliTube 3. In fact the amount of crash data we've amassed from the fault reporter for AmpliTube 3 seems to be quite extensive. I'll reach out to IK Multimedia to see if we can figure out what's going on.

Guys if you are running Waves or UAD plugins you must install X3B.
Also as sharke says, Waves are incompatible with running both VST2 and VST3 versions of their plugins in the same session. So be careful not to mix and match or it will crash.

This is outstanding goes above and beyond!

And yes I have installed X3b just a few crashes since but that seems to be related to Step Seq.

waiting to hear.........

I am not sure, but I had some crashes when I had an older version of UAD's software installed.  I downloaded the latest software and I have been crash free (though Equality was also a problem at that time - but not anymore since I moved the Equality dll file.)
