Cool. My stream of consciousness rant farted out something useful. ;-p
Yeah, I want to get a third drive but I still think I'm going to stick with solid state personally. Maybe 10,000 RPM and I'll shuffle everything around to turn that into my system drive and then my two 7200rpms get relegated to project/audio and streaming/storage. I intend to do other stuff with this system so I'd rather have some capacity on the C drive if I need it and frankly the price per GB of SSDs make me cringe.
I'd love to set up a RAID too and my case is designed for that but I am not nearly smart enough yet to set something like that up and I don't have enough drives anyway.
As far as backup I've got a WD 1TB USB3 external I picked up just for that but I've already jammed it with a bunch of images from my various systems so I need to clean it up and buy another one. Cloud storage kind of doesn't really appeal to me because again I do not trust it for various reasons and considering the amount of stuff that would be floating back and forth I'm pretty sure I'd break my bandwidth limits and start getting charged ridiculous usage fees (thanks CRTC). Also even on broadband those types of transfers take far too long.
