.....but X3b is the bestest experience I've had with Sonar.
Tonight I've been learning how to use the comp mode and got on fine. I then created a simple lead line on my guitar, edited the pitch and timing using Melodyne (I didn't tune my guitar before I recorded and when I noticed the pitches were off I checked the tuning and the error was exactly what Melodyne said it was).
I then dragged the audio to a midi track and it created a spot on midi version that I then dragged to an Alchemy track and blended the guitar and the Alchemy output. Oh, and I was playing over a beat created on Addictive Drums.
Apart from a plugin crashing Sonar (the plugin's fault) a few days ago it has been as good as gold. I hope I don't curse my luck with this post but I want to thank the guys at Cakewalk for the new toys plus the behind the scenes work that must have happened as X3 is giving me a confidence with Sonar I don't think I've had before.
Sweet.
Grum.
