MULTI MILLION DOLLAR IDEAS HERE CAKE GUYS Integrated roland guitar amp modeling and things for a Roland GR55 / vg99 that allow integration so it will record midi playing into tablature.
Live playing features for us guitar players who represent the biggest block of musicians buying your product.
It would be extremely nice if we could get a cheap midi foot switch like an FCB1010 or use an existing foot controller in an HD500 or GT10 and switch from recording to one group of tracks or through various busses with input monitoring on so we can hear what is being played live through our various amp sims like podfarm or guitar rig or any chain of fx loaded on the FX bin and or if we fed multiple instances on say ten tracks we could use the ten foot switches on that particular controller to switch between ten different tracks or combos of those tracks so we could use sonar to play live and get the same tone we put on our recorded works.
Or if tracks won't work activate a group of buses off a single track to switch between snap shots of various FX.
The idea is to play on the fly with a foot controller to switch between different amp sims and get the input through different FX/amp sims seamlessly with no delay when switching so we can use this feature live as well as in the studio.
This is a must have feature that every guitarist would want and it would cause every guitarist out there to purchase sonar.
Just saying this is common sense to me if I am a marketing guy I could sell this to guitar center and other music stores and get all their people pushing sonar over pro tools if we had this feature.
Not everyone owns a recording studio but millions of people play guitar and want to use their laptops and the modeling tones in their computers live.
I can explain how I think it could be done very easily. You custom key bind and integrate an act midi controller to activate a key binding that switches between a group of buses. This should be a template for us guitarists.
Then you can use your computers keyboard with the custom key binding to switch patches by switching feeds to a variety of buses.
This is how I would prefer to record as well as play out live because I never know what tone is going to fit when I am composing parts and if I have a foot switch in front of me while I am recording that can take me from clean to dirty or add in a bit of pitch fx and delay then hey I might switch in the middle of a part.
I want that to record my playing spontaneous not planned out ahead of time. It allows me to focus on my music and not engineering a recording and that is what this is all about to me.
If I can set up ten patches on ten buses that feed off of one track and I just need to be able to integrate the midi controller to do the switching so that if I want bus one with podfarm to be active it is active and the other 10 buses are silent or if I want guitar rig on bus 3 and Revalver on buss 2 at the same time as a dual amp patch then I can switch to that patch with midi foot controller 5 and have any combination of FX to activate from 10 foot pedals.
How hard is it to create this and then how many millions of dollars do you earn from every guitarist having to buy your product so they can do this?
what about if we can do this with snap shots and just hit a midi pedal jump to a marker with a snap shot that has the tone and FX we want to use available at that marker could that be used to do this? if so why not brag about what your product can do by figuring out how to use it like this and tell us how it can be used to do something super useful like this?
The guitarists of the world are the right market to cater to. I think this can be done in reaper and logic why can't we do it in sonar?
