Using Sonar X3B Producer for a couple of days now. Looks like it very stable with 2 crashes so far.
 
I have a big issue that makes Sonar unusable. 
I create an FX Chain in the prochannel (on a instrument track) with 2 FX plugins. VPS Filter etc. It does not matter because it happens with every plugin I put in there.
I assign the macro control knobs to some controls of the plugin.(learn knob)
When I want to turn the assigned macro knob in the FX Chain control tab, it gets stuck and my mouse pointer disappears. Sonar is working but I cannot see my mouse pointer anymore.
Does anybody else have this problem? It's driving me crazy.....
 
 

I'm using a Win8 x64 setup with X3 x64. I gave your recipe a try and I didn't loose the mouse cursor when assigning plug-in controls to an FX Chain in the ProChannel. I've heard of similar things happening in other views. Basically the control you're clicking on isn't releasing the mouse back to the app. Sometimes pressing the [Esc] key will bring it back. Are you able to reproduce this in a new project from scratch?

I am at win8 x64 also.
I can still move my mouse and I am able to hoover over some controls but the cursor is not visible anymore.
 
After some testing (new project) it might be the problem when adding more than 1 fx chain in the prochannel.
I have preset for the prochannel with 3 fx chains.
1 with saturn,driver
1 with solid dynamics (NI)
1 with Sausage fattener and VPS philta CM edition
Randomly I deleted and added them and everytime when there is more than 1 chain in a prochannel it gave me the "stuck" mouse. This is only when loading saved prochannel presets. (made in X3A)
 
I tested adding modules and fx chains again manually from scratch in new preset (X3B) and it seems to work ok. So it looks like the prochannel presets made with Sonar X3A are sort of corrupt and I need to remake my presets containing fx chain modules in X3B.
 
If the problems come back I will update.
