No Sleep
I’ve been lurking and learning for a while now.  This is a fantastic resource.  I now have something to contribute.

I recently purchased a Session Drummer kit from Platinum Samples (the Evil Joe Barresi kit).  However, it wouldn’t install.  I contacted Platinum Samples technical support.  We exchanged a few emails “can you send us this log file”, “can you send us a screen shot of this”.  Within a matter of hours they’d diagnosed the problem and come up with a solution – an updated installer.  The problem was because I’d done a clean install of X3 (new PC) and Cake have changed one of the Session Drummer registry keys.  For my trouble Platinum gave me a free kit of my choice!

Other than being a customer (new as of 2 days ago) I’m not connected with Platinum Samples in any way.  I just wanted to highlight excellent service and offer a tip to anyone with Platinum kits who’s planning on doing a clean install of X3 – you’ll need to download your kits again so that you get the updated installer.

Glad the problem is solved - and wow a free kit!

You'll be happy to know most Platinum kits for Session Drummer have more layers than the default kits, and implemented various hats position (closed,quarter,half,etc..), stretching Session Drummer to it's best.

Great story!  Those guys are great and have awesome kits.  I've had great service from them over the years as well, and although I don't have the SD3 version I have the Superior Drummer full set of Evil Joe Barresi drums and the BFD Glamouflage kit from Evil Joe (that one is my favorite.)  You did quite well to pick up that kit for Session Drummer.

They do have great service.  I wonder if this is a consistent problem.  I had no issues with X3 with their samples/drumkit
