No connection. The Porcupine Tree song "Lazarus" was released in 2005. Bowie's unrelated song ( as you know) was released just before his death in 2016. And ya I can't imagine anyone else doing it either.
Somehow I've never heard of The Porcupine Tree. Now I have a goal for the day.
I like their earlier stuff, however, "The Incident", which is 2 CD's could easily have made one excellent CD instead, for my ears. Other than that, I like "Deadwing", and the earlier stuff. "Signify" is also very nice.
Just to give you an idea of some of these guys, just wrap your head around the drummer, who happens to have been touring with King Crimson and the 3 drummer setup for the past couple of years! And Steven did the KC remixes!
