I'll join the choir :-)) This version is great !!
It may be an placebo effect but to me the whole program runs smoother :-))
Keep up the good work !!!

All the best
Jan

It's definitely not a placebo effect. We spent a lot of time enhancing workflow and making it rock-solid out of the gate. And we are committed to even more updates based on user feedback.

This is the kind of dedication we love to see....!!!  Thanks Andrew...!

X3 is a step in the right direction, in terms of stability and performance. That said, I've still run into intermittent (thus, non-reportable) but recurring bugs.

* ProChannel modules at random occasions mute the whole track. I've seen this happen with Console Emulator and Tape Saturator in different projects. Suddenly, no signal would pass through the effect. Turning it off would make the track audible again. Turning it back on would mute it again. Nothing in the effects' settings would cause the track to be muted. Restarting Sonar clears up the issue completely, until it occurs again.

* The ancient issue of a single MIDI note suddenly and randomly being sent to every MIDI track resulting in a loud cacophonous explosion of sound.

* Getting constant dropouts having opened an old project, even though neither the CPU meter, nor the ram meter, nor the disk meter, are anywhere near the top 50% of their respective scales. Increasing the ASIO driver's buffer does not help. No such issues with other or newer projects. Since the old project has bounced Hypersonic tracks, I'm tempted to suspect that audio contains NaNs or some other heinous things of that nature. I presently don't have a way to be sure.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still blown away by the awesomeness of X3. I just can't wait to be even more blown away by X3C. :)

Log a bug and attach the projects. There could also be something messed up inside the project itself to cause dropouts. You can try skipping that one synth on load to try and isolate if it is responsible.
Regarding the PC issue do you have any mute automation for the module in the track?

I still feel the burn from X2's abandonment, but X3b is certainly welcome. New comping was badly needed, yes. I can't argue that the software is worth the money, since, if you compare what X3 does vs. Adobe products of comparable livelihood nature, it's a serious value! It's no game-changer, but for me, I can do what I came to do and get on with my life. No crashes yet, but I've seen some quirkiness in Plug-ins (all workable, however). I still firmly believe X2b should have been brought to life, but I'll take X3 willingly, as I've said I would pay for fixes, if they'll "fix" and test the product better. Maybe I got my wish.

Maybe this year, we'll have more to rave about than rant.

Nope, no mute automation. Console Emulator and Tape Saturation don't have "mute" anyway, do they?

Loving everything here as well.  Pop EQ current favorite, although the Bluetubes Oilcan Delay is super cool....
