Well that's your choice. I'm paying a good buck for dsl at my house and I feel I'm getting my money's worth. I gave up cable so I could have internet access. So I have to rely on an old fashioned tv antenna and whatever stations I can pick up for tv viewing.  The alternative would be for them to include the AD program on a set of dvd's included in the boxed version at additional expense. People are already squawking about the $29.99 box set price. Tack on an additional $20-30 bucks and no one would buy it. They are trying hard to keep their costs down, and I appreciate that.

Not really sure why you're getting snarky with me. I have no beef with you, or Cakewalk. Yeah it is my choice not to have cable or DSL or anything like that cause I have a family of 5 to feed and can't really afford the extra monthly fees. No big deal. I just wish I could get it.

I'm not getting "snarky" with you. I don't know your situation well enough. I can appreciate that times are tight, well they are tight for me too, but I found a way to make it happen. You may have a friend who does have an internet connection that you could use for a couple of hours...if all else fails I'd be using Session Drummer in X2. You don't have to have AD drums to make good music. It's nice but not an absolute necessity.

I guess that's an example of how one can perceive the wrong tone in written text. I apologize for making the wrong assumption. I actually have KitCore and BFD Eco with the Zildjian collection, so I'm doing okay. I guess I just wanted to check out the AD, and wished it wasn't download only.

Grab 1.5.2, it is an offline install.

I been sayin that.
The way to trump ProTools is a 2 step process:

step 1- offer a mac version.
step 2- charge $699 for it (but keep the upgrades reasonable for us, your old pals :)

people will assume that it's great if it costs so much.  Instantly you'll have the "status" of protools.   Cake Sonar has already had more functionality for years.  Also, hire a gecko to do your marketing.  Sounds weird, but it works!

With Gibson and Tascam taking over they just might raise the price to $699. Maybe more, who knows ??
