Hello,

I'm getting a new computer for X3.  I would appreciate any advice on going with either, win 7 or 8.

Thanks in advance,

George

My win 7 works fine, but I would always buy the latest version available if it were me.

I am very happy with Windows 8 and X3.  I do think its smart to go with the most current OS however, I don't think choosing Windows 7 is a poor choice just not a smart one.

Windows 8 for sure, their best OS since, well, forever!

Windows 8 allows for touch screen which is great. It currently works fine with X1, X2 and X3.

It will be updated to 8.1 soon (October 17, 2013), therefore, there is some uncertainty, but I think it will work for the greater good very soon with Sonar X3.

Enjoy making music!!!

I seem to recall that some early tests showed Sonar X2 ran a little faster in 8.
I'm still using 7 but will upgrade some time. Not really straining resources right now.
I'd certainly use 8 in a new install.
