When I downloaded and installed AD I found that there wasn't a lot I could do to control anything - it just did what it did and the drums were in Sonar.
Anyhoo, I was looking around my Start screen (Windows 8) and found a standalone version of the drums....but it is the 32 bit version.
Why would it do that and can I do anything about it (it does work ok but that's not the point)?

Grum.

P.S. The drums in Sonar are 64 bit.

Well at least I've lost the guilt that I did something wrong now .
Thanks for checking your version.

There should have been a 32 and a 64 bit choice in the installer. Did you install both versions?

there are no choices in the AD installer; not even paths to install to ... pretty patronizing ...

I believe a lot of apps are like this. The standalone version runs in 32 bit (from Program Filesx86) but the vst is 64 bit plug.

You can move the program and the VSTi's to new paths after installation with the online installer though.
It's under "advanced".

I'm sorry. I remember now that when I installed Addictive Keys it did the same thing. It just went ahead and installed the .dlls where it wanted.
