FWIW, the Dimension Pro missing multisample errors you're getting didn't come up for me.

Hi Ryan, I'm not sure what this was about. I ended up just reloading the patches, and Dim Pro found all the samples. The "Alone in the Beach" patch sounds a little different in live playback than it does in the bounce, but I haven't been able to find any indication that the patch was tweaked.

i cannot reproduce the in-project bounce.  it would be nice to know the settings that were used to be able to recreate it.

one really odd thing is that the waveform i see in track 44 is empty (silent) until bar 17:04 even though there is audio.

I think most of the inability to null is due to FX not reproducing the same output every time. My own bounces won't null with the live guitar and vocal tracks, which is common when individual tracks/buses aren't frozen/bounced before doing the master bounce. But there may also have been changes to the project after that bounce.

One odd thing I found was that track 16 (acoustic guitar doubling, panned right) appeared to be audible, but was silent when soloed. Turns out both lanes are muted, but the comp track clip appears active (not grayed out). I guess they decided the mix didn't need it, but it was odd to mute the lanes rather than the track. I think the Comp track should reflect when all underlying lanes are muted like this.

I'm not seeing the flatline to measure 17 that you are.

Hey dave thanks for taking a look. I'll take a loook at my x3 install and see if i can find anything out. I get the fx situation but when i am discussing sample accurate playback it typically means all audio is able.to be reproduced. I'll check out track 16 too.

Cool track. I wonder why the drum tracks are all stereo. Is this an Addictive Drums thing?

This is the first time I've seen Addictive, and I haven't checked it out thoroughly, but I would hazard a guess that it's because stereo room and/or overhead signals can be mixed into each channel individually, as well as having their own stereo outputs for the kit as a whole.

hmmmm.... I don't mind the track, but to my taste it's way over-compressed. I know the whole loudness war is all the craze, but I'm personally missing the dynamics. I find it's just too fatiguing to listen to (and I don't have delicate ears either...). Switching off the compressors on the masters improves the sounds so much IMHO...you can actually hear what's going on.

But, hey ho... others probably love the compression! Such is life :-)
