Hey guys!

I'm having problems getting Arturias Analog Lab working in Sonar X3 Producer. I'm running Windows 8 64 bit.
When it scans for VST's I can see it finding the synth but it wont show up in the list. If I tick the "rescan failed..." then it scans that particular synth again so it seems to be failing. The license is showing up in the e-licenser.

Any ideas?

I havent actually installed X3b yet. Downloading it as we speak. If i havent replied to this message in an hour then the problem remains.

Well I just loaded it and it works fine. Now I do this from the browser and let it go to the synth rack there in.

Hey there, let's try the following:

1. To manually add this/these plugin’s file path to SONAR:
    Navigate to Utilities|Cakewalk Plug-in Manager
Highlight the [name of plugin] category in the Plug-in Categories column.
Do your plugins show up here? If not,
    Select [Options]
Within the next window select [Add...]
Browse to the folder location of the plugin on your computer.
***If you cannot find the plugins on your computer under the name of the plugin then please try looking for a folder named after the manufacturer of the plugin***
Highlight the folder and select [Ok] and then [Ok] again.
    Lastly, select Scan VST Plug-ins
2. Are you trying to scan in the x64 and the x86 versions?

3. Try running SONAR as an administrator:
  • Close SONAR
  • Right-click on the SONAR icon on your desktop
  • Select "Run as Administrator"

Thanks for the tip, sadly I've tried all of the above. Also tried upgrading the E-licenser just now but no difference. I've had the e-licenser and Sonar crash on me a couple of times when it gets to analog lab. Still downloading X3b but if that wont work, then I'll try to totally reinstall Lab and do the registration again.

Are you trying to run the Arturia Lab in x64 and x86?

OK because I have Audio Lab too and it runs well on my system under X3b I would look at the install of Audio lab and its licensing. I should add this is all 64 bits.  I should also add that I have the dongle for it.

Hmmm... I'm not solving this it seems.

I'm running 64 bit, e-licenser no dongle.

I have now even tried uninstalling Arturia Analog Lab, reinstalled it and upgraded elicenser once more. I've started Sonar as admin, rescanned failed plugins. But no difference.

I now have both VSTi2 and 3 installed. I can start the synth in standalone mode so the licence seem to be fine. Running out of ideas here...

Try making sure that you are running only one or the other VSTi 2.4 or 3.

Uh guys..... Im a bit embarrased to admit. But the whole thing was actually because of a spelling error on my behalf. Forget everything I've said. You never read this post! ;-) ;)
