That's the deal with sarcasm, only like-minded people will laugh.  Aren't we cute?

It's a brand new day in America (cue Sting). I'm thrilled. Watching the media last night was the most fun I've had in years. 8 to be exact.
Time to go on a repealing frenzy!

Just so y'all know, some of us here are in unfortunate situations where repealing certain things with any potential replacement policy being completely unknown could lead to very unfortunate results, depending on the new policy (or lack thereof).

Oh well.  At least California legalized recreational weed.  We sure as hell are going to need it!

The only state that failed to pass a marijuana initiative was Arizona. All the other medical and recreational initiatives passed. We managed to throw out Sheriff Joe, but can't pass legal weed? Sheesh. Good thing I have a medical card!

It's fun to see the elites get it wrong.  No harm, no foul!

I think legalizing drugs just shows how stupid people really are. I just don't see the purpose. I'm not talking about for medical reasons. But even that has been compromised and exploited.

We have a new mayor. The vote was 100 to 34.

There wasn't anything about marijuana for us on the ballots.
I wonder how many people that live where it is legal find out that corporate America has their own laws?
That would be a tuff wake-up call. Burn one, two weeks later take a drug test and get fired. I guess it's probably happening somewhere.

The talk of a replacement health insurance system has centered around an idea of "allowing insurance to be sold across state lines", but with little detail beyond that. The following scenario might very well occur:

Some states have very little regulation, and allow insurance companies to impose lifetime coverage caps and deny coverage to people with pre-existing conditions. This reduces the cost side for the insurance companies and allows for dramatically lower premiums. People will flock to buy there and save lots of money, which is great right?

But what do you think that would do to the rates for the people who have serious pre-existing conditions and can only buy insurance in more regulated states?
