  • [2nd Update: Request Granted and Delivered] Request for Overloud Sonar version products to be made VST (p.3)

Serious_Noize!
I'm glad I purchased the full version of TH3 Overloud, and their Mark Bass 2, they work in any daw as I purchased the full version. It would be nice if Nomad Factory would also make a fix available for their plugins to be used in other daws.

I've made up my mind I am going to continue to use Sonar Pro for as long as I can, as it is working perfectly for me now after having problems a month or so ago. Thing is though, I just record music for myself and I am not running a real studio, so I understand how this is a big issue for others who may have to update hardware and change daws due to OS issues etc....

I wish there was someway Adaptive Limiter could be used in other daw's also, but I suspect that will never happen.

I too wrote Overloud and received this reply from Gabriele:

"Waiting to found a more permanent solution, If you send to me your Sonar serial number i will send to your a coupon to purchase TH3 full and REmatrix at 99 dollars each. This price is valid only until today, because tomorrow the Black Friday sales will finish."

FWIW, Breverb 2 is already discounted to $99 for a few more hours.

Overloud has BReverb2 upgrades on sale for $59 (for version 1 to version 2, not the SONAR version). It'd be nice if they offered SONAR users that upgrade price too.

.
I think they are, anyone can buy at the sale price(update if they have previous FULL version, except for the 'Cakewalk Version' people), that is probably why they said they will send him a coupon

I have not heard from Overloud even though I contacted them this weekend.

At least this thread casts some hope.

I think what those who feel we paid for these plugs fail to understand is that no, we did not pay for these plugins. We paid for the right to use them under a controlled set of circumstances. If we had actually paid for them, the price of Sonar would be much higher. It's like buying wholesale and demanding full retail value refund.

Most of the third party providers have been offering a deal to Sonar users to upgrade to the full product for years.

Most of us have been happy just using the locked version.

Now Sonar is dead and the value of the locked version is diminished some want a special deal.

And they want it now.

I'm sure that some and may be all of the third parties will offer a deal but they are not going to do it until they know the potential benefit to them and any knock on to the customers who already paid full price or paid to upgrade the Sonar version.

It's not their fault that Cakewalk has folded and there is a good chance that Cakewalk owes them money meaning that they are victims too.

Bought a TH2 upgrade to TH3 yesterday on Musician'sFriend, and when I finally got the serial today I saw this:
