But to expect them to give you their product for free because of Cakewalk's bad business decisions is a bit much. It would be pretty to think so, but that is not usually the way the world works.

I'm porting the Gibson Bass Expansion Pack to Presence XT (the sampler included in Studio One Pro), and have asked whether PreSonus would be willing to give it free to Cakewalk users who had bought the version for Rapture. They agreed that it would be the right thing to do.
