Soft Tube TSAR-1R Pro Channel module reverb unit is a VST 3 unit that is working fine in my X3.

There is a VST 3 version of the TSAR-1R...but the one in the ProChannel version is still VST 2...

Hey Zo, My Slate plugins aren't coming up vst3. But, I'm not sure I checked that box on download. Was there a choice for this?

Yes there is the option to install VST3 during installation.

Is that all the Slate plugins? VCC doesn't have any mention of VST3 on the website.

I'll have to try reinstalling at some point to see...

I've got VST3 versions from FabFilter and Meldaproductions plugins, but nothing in the documentation suggests that they have additional functionality beyond the 2.4 versions.

I'm trying to figure out why everybody's so jazzed about VST3. Is everyone just dying to use Vocal Rider?

I think the most compelling feature in VST3 is the expression engine(?). Unfortunately, this still seems exclusive to Steinberg products. I am yet to see this available in any other manufacture's plug-in(s).

I want to see if Vocalign will work in X3 - they offer VST 3, but not VST 2, and it could be a very useful tool. I have seen people I work with use it with fast and impressive results.

Can't find my user notes on what VST3 did for SEM. It wasn't anything that made me want to run out and buy VST3 DAW.

.... but I can't seem to get the VST3 versions (of any Arturia soft-synths) working. Has anyone else seen this problem. VST3 working fine for audio plugins but no VST3 instruments showing at all - even though they are all in the correct ...Common Files\VST3 folder

Same here.

Arturia Oberheim SEM V in Common Files\VST3 folder - doesn't appear in VST3 section of Cakewalk Plug-in manager. VST2 still works perfectly well.

I believe only the Bus compressor collection is available for now in VST3 format
