I'm thinking of upgrading my copy of unused Sonar X1 LE to X3 (basic) to try out some latest features, etc.. while reserving my existing X2 Pro license for future X3 Pro upgrade.

Should I create another account/email to register the X1 LE to easier manage this LE to X3 (basic) upgrade ? Or should I just register under my existing account (X1/X2 Pro) ?

Thanks.

just use your existing account.. cakewalk has been tracking my serial numbers since the dawn of time... the upgrade option you buy is different so there should be no confusion

Letting the "My Account" location on Cakewalk's site manage all of your purchases and serial numbers is the easiest way to track your software purchases. Everything I have bought since 2004 is listed and available for immediate download, serial numbers and all.

Its rather sobering to see all the purchases I have in my single account over the years. I like the way CW keeps track of it all for me.

Seems I bought Pro Audio 4, 5, 6 ,7, 8, 9 and SONAR XL (how did we go from SONAR 40 to SONAR 2?) all in the year 1900.

I wonder if I still have all the media. Oh well, I have the serial numbers.

Thanks! Just registered the LE, upgraded to X3 base version and downloading.

Yeah, I got out the calculator and added up that I had spent $1914.00 - before upgrading to X2a - all just in the Cake store.

Yikes!!

I don't dare add up all the other 3rd party plugs I've also bought. I'm not sure where I'd even start.

Where's the sand box to hide my head in & play 'ostrich' for a while!!
