hey ho, mesh!

tricks or treats! (charly brown reference)

thanks for listening and commenting....

but

just for clarity, there is NO slide guitar in this recording!

:)

all of that strange spooky stuff in the middle, leading up to the 'solo' proper,
was just me riding feedback on about 5 solo tracks....
then, when the solo starts, i'm using a Carvin DC200k with a Kahler Trem, and 'pre-bending' all of the slide sounding parts,
so basically, i'm pulling a jeff beck.
or trying!
heheh

I listened once again and wow, that really sounded like some slide guitar (especially around the 2:15 - 2:23 mark). Very nice Jeff Beck work.

Speaking of Jeff Beck, I've been listening to his latest album (good stuff here):

well mesh, congrats, you are the only one in the coffee house that has listened!!
heheh
at least, close enough to find the jeff beck influence....

you know, the BECK BOGART AND APPICE album was the one i literally wore the grooves off the album playing with..

and later blow by blow, and wired...

but yes, i've heard loud hailer, and i really dig it!
for beck, being as old as he is, and still creating stuff that has such personality,
in the world of everything sounding like everything else,
it's pretty amazing.

thanks again for listening and commenting

Hi,

I miss the old radio shows that Guy Guden used to do in Santa Barbara. The Halloween shows were priceless, with all the goodies, and what not, and of course ... the best part of it? ... 6 different versions of "Season of the Witch" ... I still have 3 or 4 of those on mp3's now, in excellent quality. The tapes survived all the way to 2001 or so when I made high quality mp3's of those shows. The best part? Sound effects from many famous (Disney!!!) albums backwards and in different speeds!

Can you name those versions?
 (... no cheating with Wiki ... )
