Whew, we definitely have the best looking DAW. I've not seen some of the newer ones in a while. They all look primitive and lame compared to Sonar. PT actually looked decent for a change. I'm so bummed about Sonar. :(

Everyone's saying that NOW. But remember when X came out? Forums were loaded with angst and many users/posters never upgraded. Colored strips & Tungsten helped but initially few liked the new look.

You can simply highlight all the tracks and drag them out of Sonar to wherever you want them.
 
Freeze, render, process &/or bounce each one 1st if you want them to have FX and settings in place.
 
OMF will not export your MIDI tracks. Have to be done separately.

I appreciate the article/video. I've never exported "stems" to another DAW that way, so it will help.

ps   Actually I've exported tracks for a former student/client before he chose his DAW. So I sent him a mix and then WAV files of each track without FX.

Studio One does not import/export .OMF files.  What is best alternative.

In exporting midi, I've chosen to reset the midi-offset before export and setting it again in Cubase. Otherwise, the export will include the offset.

What is the advantage of doing as "save as" for MIDI as opposed to exporting the MIDI tracks?

I suspect to assign Midi format 1 to the file, but wondered that myself.

My guess is to have a clean midi only file to slide over to the new DAW
