The GUI comes up on my computer and immediately windows states it has a problem and must close . I have been through some back and fort with their tech support and they don't know how to fix it.

Sometimes free stuff makes you want to upgrade to the flagship, but in my case i am glad I didn't spend cash on it. I'll have to use another drummer.

It is disappointing though.

Are you running SONAR as administrator?

I had nothing but problems trying to down load AD. Finally I gave the DL directory full permissions and was able to DL it. It installed and I ran it in X3. 
 
I was thinking about posting a thread about the worst install I have ever had. But it does work.
 
I wont be replacing BFD2 anytime soon except maybe with BFD3.

FWIW, I went through a lot of grief over permissions with an earlier version of the online installer.  XLN support was pretty good about helping, but it was a sincere pain.  Here is the thread on it:
