Hi,

This happen to me a couple of times now.
I want to select a bunch of clips wiith lasso and it changes the color of the clips so you think they are selected...but only some of them move...
Anyone experienced this?

Are any of the clips locked?

No clips locked.
And if I hold Crtl and select all the clips individually the move together.
Note that this happen only a few times....most of the time the lasso selection works just fine.

I haven't seen this behavior myself, all clips moving when right click selecting

but what you may be seeing is edits to your clips (they're underneath clips as well
that's why its a good idea to bounce to clips your clip after you have done editing to it.

try a test, drag in about 5 clips from the browser.
lasso all these clips and move them, im willing to bet they all move.
now try editing some of those clips, edit midi data/replace midi  notes, exc. now move them with out bouncing to clips.?

see what I mean ?

i also discovered that when you lasso clips, if some of them are in an edit filter mode other than "clip" (such as volume or pan envelope), they do not change color and are not selected until you use the smart tool to put them back in "clip" edit mode. That may be annoying going forward. Is it a bug? More of an oversight maybe.

Yes, youre right.
I never liked the edit filter mode thing...and here is down point...
The fact that you have to change the edit mode everytime is annoying and a waste of time.

I have seen this behavior once or twice when I've tried to move large blocks of MIDI clips. I just figured it was a bug and proceeded to move the clips over in smaller chunks.

So, is this bug solved in x3? I'm considering the upgrade. Thanks

Try right clicking on one of the notes that you are having trouble with to bring up its properties. Make sure that the duration is not zero. If it is, change it to 1 or above. This may fix the issue. I have some notes showing up on the PRV when I use a drum controller to record with, but I cannot select them. The zero duration problem is the issue.
