70's progressive rock was a truly golden age for all those great arena rock anthems. You had me from the first measure and I'm a real hard sell, and I salute your work. Good production values and great tracks all. I'm really glad there is someone out there tackling the tough stuff.............Go Stickman!...........Ron

Sat back for the 8 min 39 sec experience, the opening riff made me think of Mr Fripp, (Fracture) then the track progressed through the other styles mentioned above.

Sounds nicely balanced and well mixed here.

Thanks for sharing.

I get the Pete Townshend style songwriting, plus I'd connect it to Lamb Lies Down a little bit, too! and Rush naturally. By way of Kansas.

Forgetting the fun of comparisons, it's a really good effort on its own. Holy panning, Batman! nicely spread around the stereo stage. I caught the electric guitar delay that trails across to the other side. Very nice.

This song is a seriously good time machine back to 1976? Just a good time, thanks for the excellent effort. Your attention to detail is on full display.

cheers,
-Tom

Thanks again guys, I'm really proud of this one and I'm happy others enjoy it.

@Pavlo, the drums were XLN Addictive drums, using a kit from v.1 that I've customized over time to my liking. I couldn't say which preset I started with.
I use a Roland SPD-20 (octopad) to trigger the sounds - I don't use preset midi patterns.

@Rimshot, I tend to agree with you about the high mids - I don't know if this is an artifact of the .ogg compression or the soundcloud processing. I used StudioOne Project page to convert and upload to soundCloud. I've listened to a "normal" CD in various locations - including the car! - and it sounds pretty good, I think, but I may try a few other options for a digital release.
