I'd rather buy / support a local shop.
I agree, but unfortunately buying from DV is no longer supporting a local shop unless you happen to live near the only one they haven't closed. :( Following what seems to have happened there, having been a loyal customer for many years I no longer feel inclined to purchase from them. I also read that any money they make is chanelled through Germany, so it's not even supporting the UK economy by as much as it should be.
I'd not realised they'd closed etc.

there are a few places in London (if thats where you are) that are still around , decks in cricklewood being one and studiospares in neasden. I am needed to get 2 upgrade for my other DAW stuff, so will go shopping / price matching. It's not their fault they got bought out by a german company , I was hoping they'd all learn from with what happened with turnkey years back and keep the stock levels very low... least some of the staff still have jobs.
