Hi Folks,

I belive X3 does not have V-vocal anymore. If I were to open up in X3,a project done in X2, where there was use of V-vocals on vocal tracks, how will it be? As in, will the said track now appear edited in Melodyne, exactly like they were in V-vocals? Hope someone can explain. Thanks.

If you leave X2 on your computer and install X3 on top, you will still be able to use VVocal in X3.

Or, you can do a custom install of X2 and only install VVocal, AFAIK.

No, you just have the unedited wave file of your vocals.
That`s one good reason  to start learning melodyne.
Work around freeze V Vocal track in X2.
Peace

Edit - Sorry i don`t have any other version of sonar on this machine its a new boot.

V-Vocal will be there if you have installed it with X2, and have not uninstalled it.
Some comments:
1. V-Vocal is WAY MORE CAPABLE than Melodyne Essential. You will have to upgrade your Melodyne to get the same feature set.
2. V-Vocal works differently in X3 - see the Region FX menu and read the docs. It is much better in X3 than X2, in my opinion.
