X3 does the same as X2, after a crash it can take several minutes to clear itself out of the task list so that you can relaunch the program. It is much quicker just to reboot the computer than to wait on Sonar to clean itself up. Come on, fix this!

That's actually due more to your audio interface. If you have an external USB or Firewire device, power it down or disconnect it after a crash.

That would be a driver issue with your sound card more than likely and not actually Sonar itself.

I will give that a try next time. Though fortunately X3 doesn't seem to be crashing as much.

What you should be focusing on is the cause of your crashes and what to do to eliminate them altogether.

I seem to recall this sort of thing occurring with BitBridge still running, and was caused many times by some 32-bit plugin failing in 64-bit Sonar.
 
Can you please check to see if BitBridge is running after one of these crashes?
