...is it any better??

I've always found trying to simply quantize an audio part...say a repetitive single 16th note guitar part...tedious and problematic at best and just plain unworkable at worst.  In other "unnamed" DAWs it's as simple as quantizing midi.  Select your quantization resolution and it "do".  But, to me, both Audio Snap...which I never got the hang of...and/or trying to quantize audio just plain sucked.  Has this been fixed in X3??

PS: Not trying to slag X3...heck, I just ordered it...and I'm soooo happy they put back in the color customization and have included VST3 support.

It would be interesting to understand your complete process as it always seems to work pretty well for me. I'm assuming you bounce to clip when done?

I never even get that far.  As I said unless there's a process that I don't know about...which is always a possibility with me...I don't even fool with it.  I can't fathom the "audio snap" dialog (or whatever it's called) and don't even feel there should be one.  Like I said, in another program I can select an audio clip set the resolution to 16ths, say, and hit "Q".  Done.   Just like with midi.  Can X3 do that?  That simple?  Or do you still have to jump through dialogs and multiple clicks and things like the "pool" and such to do it?  I only go to the pool in the summertime...and even then not very often.  Again, I'm not trying to be snarky...I just don't see why a very mature product like Sonar can't easily quantize audio.  Or can it?

ARA makes Audio Quantize a breeze... Only wish those wizards at Celemony would implement 'import groove'...

I would say yes Mr Doghouse; once you click on the file that you enabled AS on, the AS palette box will pop up http://i40.tinypic.com/13yno1u.jpg When you click on the quantize button another box pops up that will give you the midi like tools you need. This is on X2 not sure about X3

Yup...Melodyne has no problems whatsoever and has been doing it for quite a while now.  Still not convinced about Sonar.

Hi yorolpal. I haven't had a chance to mess with X3 much yet. But, hopefully it's gotten better. :)
