Thanks, Danny.  Good t here from you.

Yes, Dan Gonzalez asked me to send a .cwb file, but, as yet, I've not heard back with instructions.

Time zones, and all that.

You're right, you've got to love the service.

Tanks foryour suggestion.

I don't think it can be a memory issue, as gswitz and I have both found it on "empty" projects, and it only seems to affect plugs in FXchains modules.

It is seems to be a memory issue on X2a for R-Mix and also it seems other things are coming into play as it happens straight away on your projects in X3a.

Have they fixed the GUI memory bug for R-Mix in X3a and caused another bug?. I have not got X3a, so I cannot try out R-Mix with large memory projects to test if the bug is still there.

This is definitely not a memory issue. This is a 'how to repaint dirty windows' issue. :-) Notice in my video that when one is docked and one is not that they are both resized to the size of the dock but only one gets properly painted.

No memory issue here. It's obviously the Network Team (joke).

In X2a its memory and redraw issue. When you start a project R-Mix shows as normal. Then when you add more VST instruments and effects, increasing X2a's memory use (above 2Gb), R-Mix shows a blank GUI when you try to view it. In X2a the window is not redraw properly when memory use gets large for some VST's.

Memory and redraw seem to have some interaction in X2a. This may not apply to X3a.

In this bug that I did the video for, it is a tiny brand new project with no midi or audio. Just two effects. Memory error?

You are taking about Sonar X3a not Sonar X2a. It could be the same effect, but caused by a different bugs in Sonar X2a and Sonar X3a.

Thats why I said "Memory and redraw seem to have some interaction in X2a. This may not apply to X3a." I don't know if X3a has the same redraw bug as X2a. You would need to use R-Mix in X3a in a tiny project and increase Sonar X3a project size to use greater than 2Gb memory to find out. I don't have X3a at the moment.

I have just noticed that if you pin the zoom out Quad Curve EQ and change screensets, then it has gone when you revert.

@gswitz (Geoff?) - Do you still have X2a installed?  If so, could you try it there as well, please?

Thanks.

Jonathan, I have X2a still installed here. If you'd like me to test something for you, I'll gladly do it. Can you please give me the exact order you're doing things and what you want me to do? I'll do it right now for you if you happen to see this. :)

P.S. I'm at home though and only have a single monitor. If that's not a problem, just tell me what to do and I'll check it out for you.
