• SONAR
  • Changing the Pro Channel EQ default Hz and Q values. How?

I like the Pro Channel EQ and with the new extened feature that gives me a larger view.

I want to do the following:

Right now the default values when opening the Pro Channel EQ are:

HYBRID
LOW 80 Hz / 1.3 / 0.0
LOW MID 317 Hz / 1.3 / 0.0
HI MID 1262 Hz / 1.3 / 0.0
HIGH 5024 Hz / 1.3 / 0.0

Let's say I want that start out state to be something different. Just an example:

PURE
LOW 120 Hz / 1.0 / 0.0
LOW MID 275 Hz / 1.2 / 0.0
HI MID 1600 Hz / 1.2 / 0.0
HIGH 3800 Hz / 1.0 / 0.0

How can I save a preset or what can I do so that these new values will automaticall be there for every new project etc. So that when I insert a new audio track and open the Pro Channel, then these chosen frequencies are always there immediately.

In short - I don't want what Sonar X is giving me as default settings for the Pro Channel EQ and I want to change this and not have to change it every time over and over...

Thanks in advance for your help
Thomas

Adjust the settings the way you like them and save a PC preset. If you want it that way every time you create a new track then "set modules as default for tracks / busses"

Thanks for your replies:

1.
Saving the "set modules as default for tracks" only creates a default including what MODULES in the Pro Channel will come up on new tracks as defaults. The actual EQ default frequencies and Q-values etc however will be factory defaults. And those are the ones I want to change.

2.
Making a template is a good idea sometimes. But far from always: new tracks are added to an existing template and then the equalizer default frequencies will need to be reset again. And again. And again... And that's what I'm trying to change here.

So if any of you guys know how to make the Pro Channels EQ can be set to start with oether frequencies as default your advice will be highly appreciated.

Best
T

Could the settings be saved in a project template?

There are so many elements of this guys posts that give away the fact that he knew the answers to his "questions" before he posted them.  He feigns ignorance, yet somehow he his follow up retorts seem to indicate more knowledge of Sonar than a newbie would display.  His questions in every thread he has posted have seemed to be simply setup questions to post follow up statements to point out his perceived deficiencies in Sonar .  It's a common technique in forums by trolls.  I guarantee in every post this guy makes, no matter what answers he receives, they will be followed by a  detailed retort disguised in politeness

Maybe there's an ini-file or something somewhere where default frequencies etc. are listed. Perhaps a possiblity to edit a file like that?

No this is a common technique to get specific answers.  Where did he state he was a newbie?

I'm quite sure default values are inside plug-in dll. Editing is not possible.
