  • [SOLVED] X2 bug - Saturation Knob dissappears , except for on/off and LED superimposed ..

The only problem with X2 so far is that the Saturation Knob that i put in the master bus [not the effects bin] keeps disappearing, and leaving a thin band with only the on / off button showing [on the wrong side of the panel], and the 'LED' superimposed on top of it. I don't know if it is still there, on or off, because clicking on it does nothing. The other effects like 'tube', 'compressor', and 'EQ' seem to be OK. I would just remove it and insert a new one but clicking on it does nothing so it can't be removed. I have looked for and done a search but didn't find a thread on this so i started this one.

Yeah, it's a problem. Happens even in X1.

Did you download and install the Quick Fix that was just released for X2? I think that resolves the issue.

"Resolved an issue where external ProChannel modules would show up blank when saving prior to inserting tracks into this project. The modules now draw correctly. Also, this resolves related instability due to this behavior."

These problems can be frustrating. Good luck!

Indeed, the quickfix Build 308 has ironed out that problem QuadCore.

@ Bub, are you still using X1 then? I thought you'd taken the plunge.

I can confirm, for me at least, the quickfix Build 308 fixes the ProChannel redraw issue. Since I installed it I have no longer had that problem and X2 has generally become a lot more stable.

I did hop on the X2 bandwagon. So far I'm really liking it.

All the little quirks I had in X1 seem to have vanished. Everything I've tried so far (after the Quick Fix) has worked perfectly with one tiny exception ...

... PRV stopped responding on a track. I could see the notes, but I couldn't do anything with them. I closed PRV, double clicked the clip to bring it back up, and nothing. I could see the notes, but I couldn't touch them, it was like they weren't there. I did the bounce to clip function and it started working. It only happened once, on one track ... other than that X2 has been working great so far.

Sorry to drag up such an old thread but I'm having the same problem as the OP in Sonar X3 Producer, has anyone else encountered this?
