One thing I do like is that FF has a Total bundle which has all their plugins. It looks like that is what I'm going to pick up this winter since I need to update mine anyway to the new V2 plugs. I was looking at picking up the Izotope Advanced plugins as well but I don't like what they are doing with their marketing and splitting up things like RX which should be inclusive in one plugin.

Got the Total Bundle for my Bach project. This world of FabFilter is indeed wonderful.

Why do we NEED any of this stuff?  LOL

Because King Larry is our sovereign and we are but his humble servants.

It's there, V-man, under Spectrasonics. And those sweet Skippy MegaMagic pads. But now I'll have to get myself closer to Keyscape :)

One thing I'd disagree with is the ease-of-use comment under the Multiband heading -- to me, FF wins by a mile, trouncing everything, ESPECIALLY Melda plugs, whose GUIs I don't particularly care for.

I figured there'd be some raised eyebrows over my assertion that ANY Melda plugin might be easier to use than something from FabFilter. After all, we're talking about some of the most intimidating UIs versus what are arguably the most accessible. But I stand by my position: in this specific case, MDynamicEQ really is easier to use than Pro-MB.

That conclusion wasn't reached easily, either. I, too, am a fan of everything FabFilter and was stubbornly reluctant to give up on Pro-MB. But time and time again, dialing in Pro-MB was a struggle while MDynamicEQ was set-and-forget.

Damn you, Dave!  You're going to get me to buy MDynamicEQ yet!  And it was you who turned me on to FF in the first place.  I sincerely hope you're getting a decent commission from both companies!

BTW, your analysis of Ozone vs. FF was pretty much spot on.  Well done...as always.

Yes, Dave's comparison was spot on indeed. Couldn't get it out of my head. Had to get FF since I read it. The man's a devil in disguise.

Edith adds: btw, FF MB is on sale at AudioDeluxe.
