Cool! =D
Big thanks to Cakewalk for giving us in Europe the "right" price this time too and not just replacing the $ with a €
Hi Samuel
Just out of interest, what did you get charged in Euros?
We got charged £119 (GB Pounds), which definitely does not equate to $149
£119 at current conversion rates is actually around $192
Even if they are adding on a further 20% VAT (our current rate) above the registered price, it should still only be $178.80, or £110.80.
And if VAT is being added on top of the advertised price, I believe it should say so.
I don't believe this is very fair at all, but what do I know.
Well I guess with all the changes and unrest going on of late at least some things never change !?
I feel a new thread coming up Paul...
Yup, probably, but it'll be a waste of time as they usually just cite exchange rate fluctuations over the year, blah, blah.............easily solved by charging everyone in $$ and just letting the purchasers credit card deal with the conversion using the prevailing rate at time of purchase, but they don't seem to want to hear that for some reason. All the other US companies I have bought from seem to manage it ok.
It does look very good now that the grey acres have been banished, shame that there's always a sting in the tail if you live outside of the US. For this reason, I've always bought boxed versions from UK dealers for less than the d/l price, though they seem to be slow on the uptake this time round for some reason and are not even displaying coming soon type ads yet .
