so does anyone know if there is support for more video files in sonar x3? i get videos from clients all the time in pretty much every format EXCEPT the ones sonar supports... then again I'm still on 8.5.3 (i purchased x2 but never ended up installing it because i was in the middle of some projects and didn't want to have any problems during the switchover... i'll be upgrading really soon and probably just jump straight to installing x3).

It's pretty much like X2 right now.  We're working on this and plan to include improved video import in an update later this year.

Alright cool, well just knowing that you're working on it makes me happy :-)

I'm in the same boat....and have been praying to the DAW God's that this is implemented.

I wish they would incorporate something like Cubase 7, where you can tell it to grab the frame rate, etc, from the imported video and sync it up. And it would be nice to not have to convert every damn Quicktime movie before importing!

Very excited about this, improvements to the work-to-picture features are something I've been patiently waiting for for a long time!
Any chance we'll be able to slide the video track from within Sonar so I don't have to boot up Premiere and create a whole new video file every time client sends me a new version of picture with (invariably) a totally different slate length at the head?
