When I load Sonar X3 I get the following error: Cannot open MASTER.INS. No instrument definitions will be available.

How do I stop this error?  How do I create the MASTER.INS?

Is anyone else getting the old UAD error:   this track contains a non-UAD plugin and 27ms of latency will be added... etc.?  I used to get this error a long time ago with an old version of UAD's drivers, but this had been solved.  Now its back!

Does anyone find Sonar crashes if you drag a plugin to a new track while the playback engine is running?

Master.ins is a file in your user directory\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\your version of SONAR

It is a copy of c:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\your version of SONAR\Master.ins

You can copy it from the master location in ProgramData

There are several threads about UAD gear on page 2. And this summary may be useful http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/2899694

Well,

a) There is a now known bug about UAD plugs appearing after any VST3. In my reported case it was it was Waves VST3 but I subsequently found out it was any VST3. I could make it crash on a new empty project with no audio or MIDI by just inserting any VST3 and then any UAD. The transport did not even have to be running.
b) I could make X2 crash inserting a UAD plug while the transport was engaged, rarely any others though

Thanks, Bapu! That info is super helpful and explains an issue I was having yesterday and was mistakenly attributing to Waves.
