Odd bump rcklln :)

But it caught my eye as this just happened to me again a few days ago!  Since it's so random and I cannot reproduce it, there is no sense for me to contact support on this one.  I guess I'll try the inspector trick next time.

I saw some replys from Cakewalk today and figured I'd try to get in on it ;)

Toggling the Inspector (I) doesn't restore it for me - have to save, close and reopen - hope it works for you.

Pretty sure I also tried all the toggle this n that tricks, but it did not return until I closed and re-opened Sonar.  Except last time it crashed about 10 minutes after disappearing, so it was:  kill Sonar.exe and restart Sonar.

arrrrg!!! this absolutely kills me. I have seen other bugs in past versions and have been able to work around them without getting too riled up but there is something about the everpresent now time marker disappearing that gives a real feeling of instability. Its just one of those things that has to be there.

Come on Cake at least do a patch or X2b for this pleaaase.

I agree, it's a doozie.  But I don't think it would taken seriously in a bug report, without steps to reproduce, and/or related events/errors.  I've had a lot more bugs like this, that occur at random, but with no solid evidence to give to support.  An issues forum would allow this type of bug to be corroborated, noticed, and given a number.

Surely by now you understand that X2a was the final update for X2, right?
What is your purpose in bumping this thread?

I come here to try to find solutions to problems I can't resolve myself but not to explain myself to you. There is no point in posting in this thread unless you have something helpful to add.

Sorry about that.  I am in your boat, but I think your bump needed clarification.  Otherwise it looks like "yet another X2b thread."  The now time marker disappearance is one of several bugs that made it incredible for Cakewalk to abandon X2 so prematurely.  But that is where we are.
