Blades
Hello all,

I have (finally) put together my tutorial for how to setup the BCF2000 from Behringer in Mackie Emulation mode for Sonar. This tutorial covers all from where to get the downloads and what to do with them once you have them to make Sonar ready to use the BCF2000. There is another video following (within the day, hopefully) showing how to use the BCF2000 within Sonar.

These are pretty big Flash movies, so you need Flash installed to view them, and if you have a slow connection, you will need to have some patience until the video loads - I didn't cerate a "per-loader" flash movie to go with it

I hope that these videos are helpful. Check part one out here: xxx no longer valid link

edit: I have replaced the first video with a smaller (hopefully more reliable) version and uploaded the second part...

edit again:  These videos have been moved directly to my website.  Please check them out there.

Since there have been no comments here and I see questions relating to this often, I'm bumping ...

I appreciate your work Blades, but I use an MCU now. I sold the BCF2000 on craigslist.com a while ago and received $145.00 for it. I wish there was a vidoe around when I was learning about setting up the unit. well, I gues there is no more use for my forums tutorials on the BCF2000 anymore, I am not loved anymore

Where is my casket, let me lay in it and just wither away here in the forums.

Peace

Thanks blades, it was a little difficult to follow since the screen was mostly red...but we appreciate the work.

You know - I saw that anomoly a few times when testing, but the thing that seemed to make it happen was when you move forward and back in the movie before the full caching of it happens. Dragging on the "timeline" at the bottom doesn't seem to work very well with this particular flash player either, which sometimes caused this wierd red box stuff, whereas just clicking at the spot you want to forward to worked ok. This was all in IE7. I just used the html that was output by the capture app and the sqf it generated - basically uses swfobject as its presenter - nothing fancy.

I think it's mostly a video size issue. I'm trying an flv for the second half to see if I can shrink it at all (just checked and it's much smaller than the 144mb it was coming out - now it's down to 40mb. Great - I'll get it posted shortly.

Thanks, professionally done.

Do you have part 2 yet? Actually I'd be very interested as I don't own the bcf2000 but have considered it, and it would be nice to see how others might use it.

Well, mixmkr, as a matter of fact, it's up now. I did it as flv this time and it appears to be a better choice.

Bump: links edited at top of post - here they are for simplicity. Both have been done as FLV and as such the vids are smaller and hopefully work better.

Enjoy!
