I
haven't done this, I believe CJ has and I'm sure he'll chime in but as I understand it you need to set the ID of the units to 1, 2, & 3.

I had 3 working way over a year ago. I can remember that i defined each one as a mackie control (if thats what its called) in the control surface menu. Then i remember i went into the tools menu and set each one so one would control tracks 1-8 and the other 9-16 and the other 17-24. what i did in the tools menu evades me at this moment.

The videos were great and helped me a great deal! Thanks! :-)

I have one question though, in the EQ mode can you only control 4 bands of eq or is there a way to access the other two bands too?

TIA!

I haven't found a way to control the other two bands. I'd also like some direct control of the Q for each of the bands, but it's not nearly as intuitive...

someone please step in and correct me if I'm wrong.

Great videos Blades, They made me go out and buy the unit. Everythings working fine except for the virtual LCD. It comes up but it stays blank.

I also noticed there are no vista specific drivers on the Behringer site.

Thanks,

Lou

I may be misunderstanding you blades but you can control the Q from the "EQ" mode. Press EQ once and then use the bank keys to move to the Q and other settings.

I'm not in front of my DAW at the moment so I could be wrong but I think you can get at the other 2 bands via the 'plugin' mode. I have definitely done that but I can't remember whether that was in my V5 Studio days when I was using the Sonitus EQ as a plugin rather than the track EQ as it is now.

AFAIK there are no Vista specific drivers. I don't believe the Virtual LCD works with Vista either. If it did you definitely need to make sure the correct MID Port is selected in Virtual LCD, accessed via right click and also that it is started before you start Sonar.

FBB - maybe you missed the last part of what you quoted? My point was that it is not as intuitive as the EQ mode3 is for the other settings. By the time I switch out of EQ3 mode and over to EQ1 and then to the proper bank for the Q settings (especially if I'm using Vista and the BCFView app doesn't work where I would actually see the settings I would be adjusting - otherwise you are flying a little blind on this), I could just click with the mouse. It sort of defeats the purpose of the intuitiveness of the EQ mode 3. FOR ME.

For some reason, my BCF2000, when plugged into a USB port, Vista does not even know to look for drivers. It's not detected at all! So I'm about ready to send this thing back if I can't get it working.
Any help would be appreciated, but I'm not going to wait more than a couple days or I won't be able to return it. Sorry for the RUSH lol.

Doesn't even make the du-dunk sound of a USB device being plugged in? I'm assuming the BCF has power and is on when plugged into the USB. Do you have another USB cable around that you could try? I just had a printer be all kinds of freaky with a client the other day and it turned out to be a bad USB cable - and it was detected and showing in Device Manager - it just didn't work.
