Hello all,

Pretty simple one,

How do you draw a sine when inputting CC1 data directly in to the controller pane? I only seem to be able to draw freehand and straight lines. Also, how do you choose a starting value when drawing CC1 data? For example, when I draw a straight line it always starts at value 67 (approx) but how can I start at value 0 or 127?

Any help greatly appreciated.

You can open the Edit Filter on the MIDI track, and choose CC:1 (if it's not already there, click "MIDI" and select it). This will create an automation envelope bound to CC:1. Then you can use the Draw Tool's sine mode to draw in the Clips Pane. The following two help topics will give you more info:

Thanks! This seems a real cool way of doing it.

I can't seem to get Kontakt to recognise the CC1 automation though. I select Automation>Midi>Modulation (Channel 1), draw the automation but Kontakt doesn't respond. I've tried other automation, volume for example, Kontakt responds to that but not modulation. Any suggestions?

if you have reaktor, i have some small tools that send waveforms and envelopes as ccdata that can be recorded into the midi clip.  i'd be happy to share - they are pretty simple.
