I have 8.5 Producer & X1 producer and sometimes use Beatscape version 1.0.2. but it would be great to have some new sounds.  Can someone tell me who makes this and if a later version is available?  A link would be even more helpful.

Cakewalk stopped Beatscape development a while ago. The last version shipped with X1 was 1.02.80, according to info in the dll. There is no new content from Cakewalk. They no longer ship the synth. The content is shipped with current version of SONAR Producer as part of the "Loops and One Shots" package. It plays REX2 files. I have not tried to add content to the synth myself.

Lady, I think you can buy sounds packages from anyone and use them in Beatscape. I used to create my own as well.
 
So getting new sounds shouldn't be an issue.
