Are you saying the CA2A was working in X2 and now it is missing in X3?

Mosvalve

That was meant for "Peter J"

The original issue is probably a different problem unless we can get more info from Peter. I am still thinking your is more of a tech support issue. (phone if possible)

Just to kick the can down the road Bob
I was confused about the references to 32bit and 64bit installations in the other thread. Do you have X2 64bit and X3 64bit complete installations on this PC? Are the installations in the default locations?

I have x2a 32bit installed and I installed X3 to different paths. I thought it would be better not to have X3 scan anything in X2 since the bit is different. I appreciate you asking.

Ok,
The default install for 32bit SONAR is "c:\program files(x86)\....."
The default install for 64bit SONAR is  "c:\program files\...."

They never see each other for any reason including VST scanning. You should have just let the installer pick the default paths. But that is a different matter.

It sounds like the reason CA2A, R-Mix and V-Vocal are not getting picked up is because you have not installed the 64bit versions. You need to go back and perform an advanced install of X2 and the CA2A and use the same path you used for the X3 install. Or better yet, if you did not use the default X3 path, uninstall X3 and reinstall using the defaults (assuming you did not already put X2 32bit in "c:\program files" which is the wrong place for it).

scook, I did what you suggested. uninstalled X3, removed the folders etc. and installed with default paths. Installed CA2A 64bit same as I did before. PC see's CA2A as well as the other separately purchased PC modules like Limiter etc. except for the PC4K-S type expander gate. It may not be 64bit. X3 will not scan after installing it. So with that exception all is well with PC now. As for Vvocal and R-mix they are not installed. I know if I installed X3 32bit with the default paths I would have everything I have in X2 32 bit. My buddy has X2 32bit and installed X3 32bit and X3 scanned and found everything. His install went perfectly. I may just do what he did. I don't know. I'm kinda tired of installing, un-installing right now. Boy I love upgrades. I appreciate your help.

There is a 64bit version of the PC expander/gate, I use it. To get V-Vocal and R-Mix, you will need to run an advanced install of X2, select the 64bit install and select those two plug-ins. Fortunately SONAR upgrades only come one a year (or so). All of your issues appear to be 32 to 64bit transition issues. They all can be resolved. It might be worth a call to support, I usually prefer the QA that a phone call provides over the back and forth of email. It seems to resolve issues faster.
